About White Hart Renaissance Faire

When Charles and Di Taylor founded the White Hart Renaissance Faire more than ten years ago, they envisioned more than a faire. They envisioned a home for performers, free from the corporate influence that had become such a large part of the country’s major faires. For ten years a dedicated crew of performers, volunteer cast and crew, vendors, and patrons have cultivated that ideal and created a faire that welcomes and nurtures all who are associated with it. Growing “the little faire that could” has been a labor of love, blood, sweat, and even a few tears. In order to produce the faire every year, we rely on hundreds of volunteer hours, donations of goods and services, paid admissions, and fund raising to cover our costs. We have not sought corporate sponsorship’s. We don’t charge exorbitant prices for our tickets. We’re not in it to make a big profit.
Our purpose is to provide an all-inclusive and well-rounded program for the benefit of the entire dramatic and theatrical educational community of the northern Ozarks area, in order to inspire a renewed and fresh renaissance of the theatrical arts in our community and state.
We do it for the great love we have for our patrons, one another, and for Charles, whose dream it was. Whether you would like to visit us on a sunny day in June, don garb and become part of our cast, come out to the site and build a shop or mow the grass, or participate in one of our fund raising campaigns, we hope you will join our family and help us continue to grow our faire for the next ten years and beyond.
