  • Where doth one purchase tickets?
Tickets are available online at WhiteHartFaire.com or at the gate for most events. General admission is typically sold at both, while special feasts, limited activities, and exclusive events require advance purchase, as spaces are limited. Prices are generally the same whether online or in person, though Early Bird specials reward swift action with noble discounts. We encourage early purchase for major events and rare experiences.
  • What is the Questing System at your event?
At the White Hart Renaissance Faire, guests may partake in the Queen’s Favor Quest, a free scavenger hunt across the village. By completing tasks and earning favors, adventurers can claim a limited-edition medallion, with only a set number available each weekend. Seek well and act swiftly, for once all favors are claimed, the medallions vanish until the next gathering. During the Feast of the Goblin King, a deeper web of intrigue awaits. The Bounty Quest Board offers missions tied to various characters and factions, each influencing the evolving storyline. These quests are designed to be completed one at a time, encouraging guests to explore alliances, uncover secrets, and steer the fate of the Feast itself. At A White Hart Christmas, the magic turns toward merriment with the 12 Tasks of Yule. Guests are invited to complete a series of festive challenges, embracing the spirit of the season and earning a special surprise from none other than Father Christmas himself at journey’s end. Meanwhile, at Valhalla Blooms: A Viking Spring Faire, scholars and raiders alike may undertake the Saga Quest—a historical scavenger hunt woven through Norse mythology. Participants learn the tales of ancient sagas while collecting runes and other relics of the old ways. In 2025, many walked away proudly bearing full rune sets for their efforts. Participation in questing is free unless otherwise noted, and is entirely voluntary. Whether thou art a casual wanderer or a determined hero, the Questing System offers a deeper path to adventure for any who choose to walk it.
  • Is the Haunted Trail too scary for children?
The Goblin King’s Haunted Trail is dark, eerie, and unsettling, populated with mythical beasts and ancient horrors, but free of blood, gore, or chainsaws. It is not recommended for very young children. Furthermore, all guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult should they seek to brave the trail’s shadowed paths.
  • What events dost thou host throughout the year?
Each year, the land of Hart’s Grove awakens with festivals both grand and wondrous. In 2025, our season begins with the White Hart Renaissance Faire, celebrating its 20th glorious year over three weekends: June 14–15, 21–22, and 28–29. As autumn’s chill creeps into the wood, the dark myths stir for The Goblin King's Haunted Trail: Grimm's Awakening, running on October 3–4, 10–11, 17–18, and a final haunting on October 31. The magic deepens with the Fae Masquerade Ball: A Night Beyond the Veil on October 24, a night of elegance and mystery for guests aged 18 and up. The very next day, October 25, the story continues with the Feast of the Goblin King, a one-day live quest filled with faction rivalry, immersive storytelling, and fantasy intrigue. The year draws to a warm close with A White Hart Christmas, our Tudor holiday faire held December 14–15, full of carols, crafts, and Yuletide cheer. Looking ahead, Valhalla Blooms: A Viking Spring Faire will return April 18–19, 2026, calling forth the warriors and shieldmaidens of spring.
  • Must I wear a costume to attend?
Though not required, costumes are greatly encouraged. Come dressed as a knight, bard, fae, merchant, Viking, noble, or adventurer! Mundane garb is welcome, but donning festive attire enriches the magic of the day and deepens the connection to the world we create together.
  • What is included in the general admission ticket?
A general admission ticket grants thee access to the fairegrounds and the full day’s worth of public entertainment, themed activities, and immersive atmosphere. This includes stage performances, musical acts, combat demonstrations, character encounters, artisan markets, storytelling, and quest participation where applicable. Guests are also welcome to explore the village, cheer on tournaments, and join in on games and revelry throughout the day. However, do take heed: certain experiences—such as feasts, exclusive workshops, or premium games—require a separate fee. Notably, activities such as axe throwing, archery, and spear tossing are operated by skilled vendors and are pay-to-play.
  • Where is the enchanted village located?
The White Hart Renaissance Fairegrounds are found at 5651 State Highway F, Hartville, Missouri 65667. Amid the rolling hills and ancient woods of the Ozarks, our village of Hart’s Grove comes to life with music, stories, and seasonal celebration.
  • May I bring my noble steed (dog)?
Alas, only trained service animals are allowed within our gates. This is a decree from our insurance lords, though it must be said that our goblin guards remain especially suspicious of chihuahuas.
  • Where may I smoke mine pipe?
Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas, primarily near the Tipsy Turtle Public house (also known as our Mead Hall), within the Smoke Shop, or in the Parking Lot. Outside of these areas, we ask that guests refrain from lighting pipes, cigars, or cigarettes.
  • May I bring mine own food or drink?
Small snacks, picnic lunches and non-alcoholic potions (water or sodas) are allowed, but outside alcohol is strictly forbidden. We encourage all visitors to partake in the hearty fare and refreshing beverages offered by our vendors, supporting the craftsfolk and cooks who keep the village thriving.
  • What food and drink is available onsite?
Our village vendors offer a hearty variety of foods and drinks suited for all diets, ranging from vegan feasts to carnivorous delights. Whether thy appetite craves light fare or hearty meals, thou shalt find much to satisfy. Please note: for safety and tidiness, no vendor may allow cans or bottles to leave their booth. All beverages are served in separate cups, and many vendors happily offer discounts for guests who bring their own sturdy drinking vessel. Thus, we encourage thee to carry a cup or mug to partake fully in the spirit of the festivities!
  • Can I stay the night?
At present, on-site camping for patrons is not available, for the goblins have not yet finished digging the latrines and our carpenters are still working out the details of the camping sites. However, many fair inns and lodges can be found in the nearby shires of Hartville, Ava, Seymour, Lebanon, and Marshfield. Additionally, we have partnered with several neighbors who offer primitive, dispersed, and RV camping mere miles away. Send us a missive, and we shall happily direct thee to a welcoming site!
  • What facilities are offered within the village?
Guests shall find Privy Houses (porta-potties) scattered across the grounds, including accessible options for those in need. Handwashing stations are placed conveniently for cleansing between adventures. Should misfortune strike, a First Aid Post is maintained near the front gate, staffed by healers ready to tend small injuries and ensure all return safely to their merriment.
